Your twelve words open your account again and set a new password.
This is the only page that ever asks for your twelve words. Check the address bar says the domain you typed yourself, not one you followed a link to. The words are checked in this browser and never sent anywhere — not to this node, not to anybody. Anything else asking for them — a message, a helper, another page — is stealing them.
Your @name, coins and pieces are on the chain and do not change. After this your old password no longer opens the wallet on this node; a backup file saved before today still opens with the old one.
